I think stimulating public discussion of the Fed is one of the most important things we can do. As libertarians, it's easy for us to take command of this issue as neither the Republicans nor Democrats have anything to say on the subject. It's an issue that hasn't be tainted by a false left-right debate, so people from all backgrounds are open-minded and curious. And it would seem pretty important too, right? I mean, we spend our entire lives largely attempting to get hold of as many of these green strips of cotton-paper as we can. You'd think it would be kind of important to understand why that is, and especially important to know who is entrusted with controlling such a powerful institution.
