Future Pastors the Church Does NOT Need

This is an interesting article on seminarians, theology, and what the church needs. Thought it was quite appropriate as we begin this semester, and echos the readings and lectures thus far.

Interestingly, I was reading an article last night that made the argument that the emphasis that some place on “right-belief” made them gnostic.

    It is an interesting thought.

    Thanks Courtney,
this makes me think of the many times that I have heard others say… “I am not a minister but…” As I heard that and discerned I saw the latitude of “I am not good enough” and “I am not hypocritical enough” unfold. (a comparison always) It always seems to return us to the question of our own identity. Indeed, made in His image… WE ARE ..because He IS… I AM. We are simply “to be”. thank you for sharing your thoughtful article and insight! Yes, the church needs…!
