Discounts on Computers and Peripherals

Through the Lenovo Friends & Family program, friends and family of WFU can use the WFU Reynolda campus portal and buy any item that Lenovo sells online at 5% below Lenovo’s current regular web prices. The range of items is wide, from computers to peripherals, including speakers, headsets, projectors, webcams, and wireless routers.

5% of all sales go to support the Z. Smith Reynolds Library, Coy C. Carpenter Library, and the Professional Center Library.

On Friday, May 5, the Z. Smith Reynolds Library received some URL upgrades. These upgrades offer a consistent naming scheme as well as opportunities for better integration and organization of library services and resources. Changes include:

Note: the old URLs will continue to work and will redirect you to the new URL. We recommend that you update any bookmarks you may have to avoid potential problems in the future.

What: Help Desk Lite in the Library
When: 4 PM - 6 PM, Monday - Thursday
Where: Room 258 (in the ITC Computer Lab)

Thanks to the IS Help Desk, the library now offers Help Desk Lite, a “lite” version of what the Help Desk offers at IS. IS staff will be available from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in room 258 (in the ITC Computer Lab) to offer help troubleshooting ThinkPad issues.

Note: There will be no “loaner” ThinkPads given out at this site, students and faculty will still have to go to the Help Desk for those.

There are also phones in Room 258 so that students and faculty will be able to contact the IS Help Desk. During non-staffed hours, students and faculty will also be able to plug in to a wired connection and power in Room 258 and troubleshoot their own issues, if they so desire.
