ITC

Welcome to the Information Technology Center (ITC) in the Z. Smith Reynolds Library at Wake Forest University. We are very happy to have you as a part of our staff and look forward to working with you.

The purpose of this blog is to inform you of your responsibilities as an ITC student assistant, provide instructions on services that we offer patrons of the library, and give general information about the Z. Smith Reynolds Library. It is meant as a handbook that will be updated continuously throughout your time with us. It is impossible to cover all of the questions you may be asked or think of, so please ask the student supervisor, or any other ITC staff, any questions you have at any time, we are here to help!

You are encouraged to contribute to this handbook, too. There is a section of announcements that should be used to post information about things going on in the ITC, for example when the printers are down or when someone is coming by to get help in the multimedia lab. Also, there is a section for shift changes. You should post any shift changes in that section so that everyone is aware of who is supposed to be working at any given time.

The first thing you should do as a new student assistant is fill out the ITC student assistant contact information form. This form is located on the Contact Information page. Once you fill this out you can email it to Caroline, the student supervisor, at numbercj@wfu.edu.

The ITC listserv is zsr-itc-sa@lists.wfu.edu. You are now a member of that listserv. You should use this listserv as a way to communicate with your fellow student assistants, as well as the student supervisor.

If you have any questions at all, do not hesitate to ask! You will find that all of the staff are willing to answer questions and help in any way necessary.

Sincerely,

Caroline J. Numbers and the ITC Staff
