We are looking for 3 milestone meetings through the course of the semester:
- Your group will need to find a few good candidates for meetings with the instructors and communicate your options with us. We’ll plan to meet at the time that works for all group members and the instructors.
- Come to the meeting with a status update for your project. We’ll want to know what you’ve done, how that went, and see examples of your work. We’ll also want to know where you’re planning to go and what you’re planning to do.
- The reason we’re conducting these sessions is to give you plenty of feedback along the way so that your final project will be the best that it can be. We can also give you advice about research strategies as you need them.
These meetings are worth 15 total points of your final grade. We are looking for meetings that:
- Show you have engaged in the course discussions and your reading
- Demonstrate that you are thinking about the issue
- Show you are making steady progress towards your goal
Deadlines for the milestones are as follows:
- Milestone 1: January 20
- Let us know the project you have chosen, the research question you’re answering, and the timeline you project for completing different tasks throughout the semester.
- Milestone 2: February 5
- Show that you have researched your question and that you are beginning to pull the content together for a final project
- Milestone 3: March 3
- Demonstrate that your final project is coming together and that you have a plan for your library display
