Assignment 1 – Narrowed Topic and Research Question

• Overview - In this assignment, your group will pick (in class 2) one of the broad topics located on the Groups Page and formulate a research question.

Instructions

In order to complete this assignment, you will need to accept the Google Docs invitation and begin creating and editing your assignment. This doc will be used for all assignments and your final report.

The page you create should have the following section headings

• Broad Topic - The broad topic section should contain a brief statement about the broad topic that your group has selected

• Restricted Topic - The restricted section should contain a list of possible sub-topics/refinements. Indicate the restricted topic that you chose to pursue.

• Narrowed Topic - The narrowed topic should contain a list of possible topic refinements based on the restricted topic you selected in the previous section.

• Research Question - The research question section should contain a specific question that your group is interested in pursuing this semester and should be based on the narrowed topic section.
