Get Game@ZSR

Friday, January 25, 2008 10:26 pm

The Library hosted the semi-annual Get Game@ZSR Friday, January 25th from 7-11pm. This installment of Get Game was both an open game night and a Halo 3 tournament. Lynn Sutton, Susan Smith, Erik Mitchell, Tim Mitchell, Kevin Gilbertson, and Caroline Numbers (along with two very dedicated RTAs and John Vientos from Information Systems) were all on hand to help Get Game’s fearless leader, Giz Womack. Along with flyers and posters hung up all over campus, the Library received a tremendous mention on The Student: Get Game @ ZSR! 40 people played and/or stopped by during the night. Due to technical issues at UNC-Greensboro, a tournament between the schools was not possible. However the WFU tournament was held.

Tournament Winners

The festivities ended when we awarded our trophy to two students, Joel Ernst and Peter Jin pictured above, who proved that they were truly Halo 3 masters.

Wireless Issues During the Last Week of Class Cause Chaos in the ZSR Library

Thursday, December 6, 2007 3:54 pm

The Library hit a little snag this week when wireless in our building started causing consternation amongst our busy student population. It was quite the mystery on campus as to why all of a sudden people were being kicked off the internet or not allowed on.

Upon further investigation from our Information Systems department, the problem was discovered, an issue with a recent security patch that affected the entire campus.

The good news, wireless on campus, and in the Library, is back up and running with no complaints, just in time to finish those research papers and end the semester on a high note!
