For Black History Month, one part of the exhibit holds books from the library collection on the 1960’s Civil Rights Movement.For Black History Month, the exhibit focuses on literature about the 1960’s Civil Rights Movement and the 1960 Sit-ins in Winston-Salem. During these Sit-ins, 12 students from Wake Forest and Winston-Salem State were arrested. A historical marker in downtown Winston-Salem marks the location of the event.
